In designing Rhodium, which is known on Earth as a real life precious metal sometimes worth more than gold, I wanted to bend a scientific concept to build an intricate and complex concept in the world of Xarmony. A very vivid representation of how my work, my portfolio, consistently offers alternative journies, as if from another universe. (Xarmony is intended to stand as an escape into the vast possibilites of scent.)
My inspiration for the reformulation of Rhodium came from a few artworks that I created in 2022. showcasing cosmic gems and orbs with reference to lavender and a steampunk rose. (displayed on home page)

This transformative journey alters existing rocks—whether igneous or sedimentary—into new, crystalline structures, often resulting in stunning minerals like emerald and sapphire. Igneous rock, created from the cooling and solidification of molten magma, serves as another foundational element, contributing to the rich tapestry of geological formations. The combination of excessive temperature and pressure in the Earth’s depths not only shapes these rocks but also aids in the formation of precious gems, bringing to life their inherent beauty and unique properties. Gems are also able to grow naturally when certain chemical compounds are present among metamorphic rock.
